“I thought of that old joke, y’know, the, this… this guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, “Doc, uh, my brother’s crazy; he thinks he’s a chicken.” And, uh, the doctor says, “Well, why don’t you turn him in?” The guy says, “I would, but I need the eggs.” Well, I guess that’s pretty much now how I feel about relationships; y’know, they’re totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and… but, uh, I guess we keep goin’ through it because, uh, most of us… need the eggs.”

I can’t believe it took me this long to get around to watching Annie Hall. Good lord.

Laura informed me that my blogging absence has been too long today, so here I am again. The Tumblr structure makes it really easy (almost too easy) to just post a picture of something and be done with it, and not actually write anything. I’ll see what I can do about changing my ways.

In terms of stuff happening in my life lately, I’m really looking forward to my two next big trips to D.C. and Chicago. Once September gets out of the way, the rest of the year is going to be pretty bad-ass. I’m talking D.C., Natalie in town, Halloween, New Moon (don’t judge), Thanksgiving, Chicago, Christmas, New Years all in rapid succession. I’m also looking forward to successfully completing my 365 project. I can’t believe I’ve gotten this far and have only missed two days, I think. It will be both a relief and a little sad to not take that picture on January 1.

In other news, I’m going to claw off all my skin from all the mosquito bites I have. Also, I saw a snake while Pirate Camping and quietly and calmly turned around and had a complete breakdown within the confines of my head. But no screaming! I think I saved up my blood curdling screams for when I screamed at the top of my lungs in the middle of the night in our tent and scared the shit out of Karen. Sorry again for that.
